John Malkovich to build film studios in Skopje where Hollywood movies will be made 
Skopje, 8 August 2022 (MIA) - American actor John Malkovich has revealed that Hollywood movies will be shot in Skopje as soon as several film studios are built near the capital as part of the Skopje Technology Park project. "I wanna say hello to my Macedonian friends and wanna express how excited I am to be working with fellow professionals D.W. Moffett and Matt Dillon to create an LEED-certified Hollywood caliber, film, music and media studio in Skopje. The first sub-studio in the entire Balkans," Malkovich said in a statement to MRT. It has been decided the project to be named Stonebridge Studios, the Hollywood star announced, to honor the rich culture and incredible history of the people of Macedonia. Malkovich, who is of Croatian origin, said he will visit Skopje as soon as the Skopje Technology Park project is approved by the government. "As son of the Balkans myself, this project is especially important to me. I strongly believe it will be crucial for the country and the region. We are excited to get to work and to create not just Hollywood movies in Macedonia but also to help amplify the already ascending Balkan film," he stated. Malkovich has been in Serbia, where he is to star in “Hell Comedy – Confessions of a Serial Killer” at Felix Romuliani near Zajechar.
