Janev and Nikoloski vow to work together against crime and corruption

Skopje, 2 July 2024 (MIA) - The Director of the Bureau for Public Security, Aleksandar Janev, held a working meeting Tuesday with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications, Aleksandar Nikoloski.
During the meeting, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, possible crimes were discussed and highlighted concerning the State Audit Office's report on the operations of the public enterprise Macedonian Railways Infrastructure for the construction of the railway line to Bulgaria and the Public Enterprise for State Roads, and the report's findings were reviewed. The Director of the Bureau for Public Security highlighted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs will undertake all necessary actions in line with our responsibilities.
"Combating corruption and crime is the main priority of this government. The entire matter and all possible crimes will be thoroughly investigated. We will not allow anyone to steal public funds, and no one should be above the law," Minister Nikoloski stated after the meeting.
At the meeting, there were discussions about future cooperation and the reporting of all suspicions of criminal activities to put an end to crime and corruption.
According to the press release, Director Janev emphasized that the fight against corruption and crime will be relentless and unbiased.
