Beirut, 23 September 2024 (dpa/MIA) - The death toll has risen to 100 people and more than 400 others have been injured in Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon, the Lebanese Ministry of Health said on Monday in an update to an earlier statement.

The attacks in southern Lebanon since early Monday have also killed and injured children, the ministry said.

The ministry had said earlier that 50 had been killed and 300 injured in an initial estimate.

The Israeli army said on Monday it had attacked more than 300 targets linked to the Hezbollah militia in Lebanon.
