Skopje, 23 October 2022 (MIA) – The government said Sunday in a press release that 9,105 MWh of electricity were produced by the thermal power plants. Two blocks of mining-power complex REK Bitola and one block of REK Oslomej are in operation. Overhaul activities of thermal power plant (TEC) Negotino are underway in order to strengthen the plant and make it more reliable for the next period, when electricity consumption will increase. It also states that 2,935 MWh of electricity were produced by hydropower plants and by the Bogdanci Wind Park on Saturday. “Power Plants of North Macedonia (ESM) on Saturday succeeded from its own domestic capacities to provide 12,040 MWh electricity to households and small consumers,” the government’s press release reads.
