Skopje, 17 May 2024 (MIA) - The German Federal Foreign Office via social media platform X said that it want to see North Macedonia in the EU and emphasized the importance of the country to embark now on the necessary constitutional reform.

“We want to see North Macedonia in the EU. The country has initiated important reforms to achieve this, and must continue along this path. In particular, it is important for North Macedonia to embark now on the necessary constitutional reform,” reads the post by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, featuring a photograph of the foreign ministers of both countries, Bujar Osmani and Annalena Baerbock.
Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani spoke at the 133rd session of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers in Strasbourg on Friday, highlighting the role of multilateralism in tackling the numerous ongoing challenges.
“Despite all its imperfections, multilateralism the only way to mobilize a collective response to wars, crises, emergencies and diverse challenges. The Council of Europe remains a vital pillar in this regard. Nevertheless, we, the member states, bear the responsibility for its effectiveness,” Osmani noted.
While in Strasbourg, Osmani is set to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from other countries.
