Skopje, 2 April 2026 (MIA) - In a message on World Autism Awareness Day - April 2, Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi said autism is not an obstacle, but a different way of seeing the world, which deserves respect, attention and equal opportunities.
"April 2 – World Autism Awareness Day reminds us of the importance of understanding, acceptance and support for people on the autism spectrum and their families. Autism is not an obstacle, but a different way of seeing the world, which deserves respect, attention and equal opportunities," said the Speaker.
Gashi stressed that as Parliament Speaker, he remains committed to promoting policies that ensure inclusion, access to education, health and social protection for all.
"Let's build a society where diversity is not a barrier, but a value that brings us together," Gashi said.
