Skopje, 17 December 2021 (MIA) – First-time directors Igor Aleksov and Sabedin Ali will receive funds from the Film Agency of North Macedonia to direct their feature films after a call issued by the agency was closed. A total of 53 projects (feature, documentary and animated) were submitted at the call, including 35 feature films and 18 shorts, said the Film Agency on Friday. Six short films will be also funded, including 4 features, and one documentary and one animated film. The budget to support film projects totaled to 50.550.000 denars. “I believe all 13 projects supported by the Film Agency will be as equally good as those supported in the past four years and we will continue recording achievements of the Macedonian cinema,” said Film Agency director Bojan Lazarevski.
