Electricity price set to go up by 2.28 percent as of Jan. 1

Skopje, 23 December 2025 (MIA) - As of January 1, 2026, the price of electricity for households is slated to increase by 2.45 percent for consumers in the first block, 2.87 percent in the second block, 3.32 percent in the third block, and 3.84 percent in the fourth block, whereas the off-peak electricity rate is set to rise by 2.5 percent. 

"Instead of the EVN Home proposed increase of 7.66 percent, following the analyses and recalculations conducted, the ERC decided to have an adjustment of 2.45 percent in the first block. In the second block, the price will increase by 2.87 percent, whereas the EVN HOME's proposed increase was 8.54 percent. In the third block, the price will increase by 3.32 percent, although the proposed increase was 9.63 percent, and in the fourth block, the increase is 3.84 percent, rather than the proposed one of 11.86 percent," Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) president Marko Bislimoski said Tuesday.

He noted that the price of electricity for 85 percent of households will increase by 2.28 percent, i.e. the average bill will increase by Mden 57-70.  

As regards the off-peak electricity rate, EVN Home has proposed an increase of 3.96 percent, while the ERC has decided to have an adjustment of 2.5 percent.
