Domestic construction companies' foreign contracts' value up 40.7%

Skopje, 15 February 2024 (MIA) — From January through December 2023, domestic construction companies signed contracts worth a total of 238,369,000 denars for working on projects in foreign countries, according to the latest figures released by the State Statistical Office.

 

According to the data, the foreign contracts' value is 40.7% higher compared to that of the contracts signed during the same period in 2022.

 

From January through December 2023, domestic construction companies completed construction works abroad at a total value of 189,758,000 denars, up 18.2% compared with the same period in 2022.

 

Most of these construction projects were in Germany, followed by Montenegro, Serbia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, and Iceland, the release says. mr/
