Skopje, 15 November 2023 (MIA) – Exploring opportunities for enhanced cooperation between state news agencies of North Macedonia and Greece were discussed during the meeting on Wednesday at the premises of MIA, between MIA director-general Dragan Antonovski and the Deputy Head of Mission at the Greek Embassy in Skopje, Georgia Andreadi, and the Head of the Public Diplomacy Office, Kleri Koltsida.

Discussions at the meeting focused on potential agreements between the two news agencies for collaborative projects in the future, as well as the prospect of organizing a direct meeting between the agencies' management teams and journalists.

At the meeting with Antonovski, Andreadi and Koltsida stressed that MIA is a reliable source of fast, verified, and accurate information for the Greek public. They also underscored that the content from the Agency is routinely used by Greek media, embassies, and international organizations.

At the meeting, the Deputy Head of Mission and the Head of the Public Diplomacy Office expressed their support for the initiatives taken by MIA in the direction of enacting a special law on MIA, resulting in increased financial stability and sustainability for the news agency.
