COVID-19: 109 new cases, 130 recoveries, one fatality
Skopje, 8 September 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia recorded 109 new COVID-19 cases after 672 tests were performed in the past 24 hours, one person died, while 130 patients recovered, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.
Of the new cases, 57 were registered in Skopje, followed by Kavadarci – 10, Prilep – 7, Kumanovo – 4, Shtip – 4, Gevgelija – 3, Ohrid – 3, Berovo – 2, Bitola – 2, Kriva Palanka – 2, Resen – 2, Struga – 2, Strumica – 2, Tetovo – 2, Valandovo – 1, Veles – 1, Delchevo – 1, Kochani – 1, Kratovo – 1, Negotino – 1 and Sveti Nikole – 1.
One person died, from Struga, aged 76. No deaths were reported according to the e-registry of COVID-19 fatalities.
At the moment, 1,265 cases are active nationwide. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 2,156,655 tests, recording 341,370 COVID-19 cases and 330,602 recoveries. The death toll has reached 9,503.
