Skopje, 6 June 2024 (MIA) – The Chief of the Army General Staff, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski as part of his working visit to Albania will take part Thursday in the conference of chiefs of army general staffs of the Balkan countries (B9 forum), held in Durres.

The forum of chiefs of Balkan army general staffs has nine members (Albania, BiH, Bulgaria, Greece, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and Montenegro), the General Staff said.

Founded by an initiative of Greece and Turkey in 2006, it was officially established on May 10, 2007 in Brussels. 

The conference of Balkan chiefs of staffs takes place once a year following the principle of rotation. Sixteen conferences were organized so far.
