Skopje, 7 August 2023 (MIA) - Inflation continues to decline in July 2023 as State Statistical Office official data show, according to which it stands at 8.4 percent. As announced over the past few months, the Government is fully committed to reducing it to a minimum by the end of the calendar year in order to protect the standard of the citizens, Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi posted on Facebook. 

"This is in line with government projections, according to which inflation for 2023 would be around 8.9%. Also, the Government pays great attention to creating a positive business climate, where companies will be motivated to pay competitive salaries whose annual growth will be far above the growth in the cost of living," says Bytyqi.  

The Deputy PM expects the growth of the average wage to continue at double-digit rates, significantly above the growth of the cost of living.
