Bulgaria to send firefighting teams to wildfire-hit areas in N. Macedonia
Skopje, 2 August 2021 (MIA) – Bulgaria will send firefighting teams as soon as possible to North Macedonia as local authorities are battling blazes in different parts of the country with the largest being near Kochani.
“Tonight I spoke on the phone with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev. It was agreed that Bulgaria as soon as possible will send firefighting teams to help our firefighters put out the fires,” President Stevo Pendarovski wrote on Facebook.
Earlier, he ordered the army to help local authorities battle wildfires after breaking out in eastern part of the country.
