Bekteshi: More measures in November, prices for other groups of products drop as well

Skopje, 19 November 2023 (MIA) - More anti-crisis measures could be expected in November, said Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi on Thursday, noting that work on the measures is intensive and they will be agreed together with chambers and other stakeholders.

Minister Bekteshi thanked the businesses, especially domestic producers, for "voluntarily reducing prices at times".

According to him, data shows that retail prices are going down, especially those encompassed with the Government decision, but there is also information that prices for other groups of products are also dropping.

"On the new anti-crisis measures, the drafts are already finalized. We are talking to the chambers and other stakeholders, and the public will be informed about the measures by the end of the month. I always try to be cautious and refrain from telling people who work on the measures what I would like to see. The Government has set up the principle of public-private partnership, including the analyses, proposals, suggestions and needs of chambers and unions. The measures are designed in line with the budget possibilities. I wish that more people get support but the proposals are given in accordance with the possibilities," Bekteshi told reporters.
