Skopje, 21 November 2022 (MIA) – The US Ambassador to North Macedonia, Angela P. Aggeler expressed Washington’s full support of North Macedonia’s EU integration process at a meeting Monday with Deputy Prime Minister in charge of economic affairs, Fatmir Bytyqi. At the meeting Aggeler stated that this is an important moment for North Macedonia, that the country has made difficult decisions and that it has the full support of the US. According to a government press release, at the meeting Bytyqi welcomed the Ambassador to North Macedonia and wished her a successful term, while also expressing his gratitude for the excellent work and cooperation of the previous Ambassador, Kate Marie Burns. Bytyqi and Aggeler agreed to work together to promote mutual economic cooperation which would go hand in hand with the EU accession negotiations, but above all, lead to a better life for all the citizens of North Macedonia. “To that end, North Macedonia as a full-fledged NATO member is a secure partner for investors, and the government is constantly working to provide predictability and stability in business development, which leads to the development and growth of the domestic economy,” said the Government in the press release. ad/sk/
