AA's Sela says Zaev should either complete mandate or schedule early elections
Skopje, 28 December 2021 (MIA) – The authorities’ lack of legitimacy is a good enough reason for early parliamentary elections, said Alliance of Albanians (AA) leader Ziadin Sela on Tuesday. “The main actors lack the legitimacy. Zaev, not Kovachevski, won the last elections. Zaev was the one who gave his word to the public and he either goes all the way or schedules elections. DUI also have no legitimacy because they came to power with the promise of an ethnic Albanian as PM and now they will vote for an ethnic Macedonian PM for the second time. Alternativa has no legitimacy because they got votes together with AA in order to herald changes in the society and send DUI into opposition,” Sela told reporters. According to him, a caretaker government should be formed, one “that uproots partisan clerks from institutions, who are there to support criminals, intimidate people and buy votes,” followed by elections in October. “This one-year period should be used for citizens to be liberated and then freely express their will at the elections,” added Sela.
