Siljanovska Davkova receives credentials of newly appointed Russian Ambassador Zykov

Skopje, 3 April 2026 (MIA) — President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova received Friday the credentials of the newly appointed Russian Ambassador Dmitry Konstantinovich Zykov.


Siljanovska Davkova expressed her conviction that Zykov’s diplomatic efforts would focus on the professional representation of Russian interests within the framework of international law, the president’s office said in a press release.


"Zykov considers representing his country on Macedonian soil a high mission," the release said.


The ambassador expressed Russia's readiness for open cooperation and the establishment of equal and mutually beneficial relations aimed at prosperity and development.


"May the arrival of the great Christian holiday Easter mark the end of wars and the beginning of a new era of peace and prosperity," Siljanovska Davkova said, according to the release. mr/
