Nikoloski - Aggeler: Macedonia and United States are strategic partners, to strengthen cooperation in economy and reforms
- The economic cooperation between Macedonia and the United States has seen continued rise, owed to the implementation of reforms that generate trust among citizens and investors, agreed Deputy PM and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski and U.S. Ambassador Angela Aggeler on Thursday.
Skopje, 15 January 2026 (MIA) - The economic cooperation between Macedonia and the United States has seen continued rise, owed to the implementation of reforms that generate trust among citizens and investors, agreed Deputy PM and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski and U.S. Ambassador Angela Aggeler on Thursday.
"The excellent bilateral relations stimulate economic cooperation, while improvement of the business environment is one of the country's strategic goals for faster economic and societal development," said Minister Nikoloski.

The meeting focused on the realization of projects along Corridors VIII and X and Macedonia's strong commitment to these strategic regional projects.
"The involvement of U.S. companies in the realization of infrastructure projects is of enormous significance in generating new knowledge, technologies and practice for domestic companies, while also guaranteeing successful realization of capital projects," noted Nikoloski.

Interlocutors reaffirmed the excellent bilateral relations, the strategic partnership and U.S. strong support in the strengthening of democratic processes, structural reforms, rule of law, fight against corruption and EU accession talks, the Ministry of Transport said in a press release.
On behalf of the Macedonian citizens, Minister Nikoloski thanked Ambassador Aggeler for her personal engagement during her term in office, while adding that the friendship and partnership between the two countries would continue through joint commitment in the process of democracy and implementation of core reforms.
