Skopje, 24 August 2025 (MIA) – VMRO-DPMNE’s candidate for Skopje mayor, Orce Gjorgjievski, speaking Sunday in the panel “Local and Central Authorities Working for You” at the fair of mayors said that safe and inclusive city will be offered to voters in the coming local elections with the focus being on solving the two burning issues in the capital, namely communal hygiene and public transportation.

“Skopje needs quick and efficient solutions. What I’m going to offer to my fellow residents for the next four years is an open, transparent city, a safe and inclusive city where the residents will be the primary focus. Communal hygiene and public transportation are the two most burning issues,” said Gjorgjievski. 

Since the very beginning, he stressed, I will focus on the two pillars – to reorganize communal hygiene and to reorganize the Public Transport Enterprise (JSP) after being left in a disastrous state. 

“In addition to environmental protection, the main focus will be on reorganizing communal hygiene in terms of mechanisation and staff. The second most important focus is on restoring JSP since one of the main problems our citizens are facing is transportation,” said Gjorgjievski.

According to him, the program for the coming local elections will be created together with the citizens.

“We will offer a concept that contains solutions to all the problems of the citizens, quick and efficient solutions, turned into a long-term strategy for the City of Skopje,” he pledged.
