Skopje, 24 March 2026 (MIA) — Skopje's Drama Theater will mark World Theater Day on March 27 by hosting a community blood drive under the slogan "Donate Blood — Play the Most Humane Role!"

The blood drive will take place from 11 am to 5 pm in the theater lobby. Organized in partnership with the Karposh branch of the Red Cross, the event aims to raise awareness about the life-saving impact of blood donation.

"In the spirit of theater as an art that celebrates humanity, empathy and togetherness, our Drama Theater actors are calling on all citizens to join the noble cause and become part of this act of humanity and solidarity," organizers said.

To thank participants, the theater is offering a gift to every donor: two free tickets to any performance in its regular April repertoire with available seating.

The blood drive is happening during the Drama Theater's 80th anniversary year. The initiative is intended to show that the theater is more than just a stage; it is a space for community care and solidarity, organizers said. mr/
