Skopje, 14 October 2021 (MIA) – Prime Minister and SDSM leader Zoran Zaev promised support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for elimination of illegal landfills and regulation of the regional landfill for the Polog region at a rally in Gostivar on Thursday evening. “Important projects are coming to Gostivar, supported by the central authorities, including maybe the most important one, the Gostivar-Kichevo motorway. We promise EUR 100 million support from the European Investment Bank for sewerage systems, water supply networks and filter stations, World Bank support for local streets and roads, state budget support for large utility projects in Gostivar municipality, EBRD support for elimination of illegal landfills and regulation of the regional landfill for the Polog region,” said Zaev. He asked for the support from the people of Gostivar at the coming local elections, assuring them of hard work for all citizens. “We continue to invest in every municipality, every populated place, so that we keep our youth here. Use the opportunity and vote for the best on Sunday by ticking number 12,” said Zaev. He added that people are united at home, North Macedonia is friends with all neighbors and the country is respected by the entire world. “All leading democratic leaders have come to Skopje, expressing respect for our people, our unity, our reforms. We gave European lessons to many other European countries. We are hugely respected wherever we go, it is much different than only four years ago,” said Zaev.
