Skopje, 15 October 2021 (MIA) — SDSM leader Zoran Zaev together with Shuto Orizari mayoral candidate Ferat Asan told Shuto Orizari residents that all municipalities mattered equally to his party and the proof of that, he said, were the numerous investments in Shuto Orizari. Zaev highlighted that socially vulnerable citizens were fully integrated and cared for by the state through welfare, but “we also lift them out of poverty,” he added. “We've increased welfare benefits by 300 percent. You know how many people receive guaranteed monthly income, child benefits, education benefits, social pension – in your municipality alone.” Zaev also said his government had increased the minimum and average wages three times and introduced a social pension plan. “We have a record low unemployment rate, since the independence of the country,” he said, noting that these were the preconditions for providing municipalities with a European quality of life. mr/
