Sveti Nikole, 6 October 2021 (MIA) — As of Jan. 1, 2022, the average monthly salary will be 500 euros, and the minimum wage 300 euros, SDSM leader Zoran Zaev said at a Sveti Nikole rally on Wednesday.
“Farmers are important to us. We have allocated subsidies and additional funding for them from the budget whenever necessary,” Zaev said.
“Workers are important to us. We have raised the wages and motivated companies to increase salaries while the state pays their contributions.
“The minimum wage has been raised from 9,000 to 15,000 denars. The average monthly salary is 28,744 denars. In just four years, all salaries were raised by at least 100 euros. At the same time, the unemployment rate fell to the historically lowest rate of 15.9 percent.”
He pointed out that Sveti Nikole was growing into the most attractive destination for investments in green energy.
“We have already confirmed this with a building permit issued to an investment for a wind farm of 36 megawatts, an investment worth over 50 million euros,” Zaev said.
"Our goal is to bring new jobs and balanced regional development," he added. mr/
