Zaev attends gala dinner at ‘The Economist’ conference in Athens addressed by Greek PM Mitsotakis
Skopje, 8 July 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia’s Prime Minister Zoran Zaev is attending a gala dinner at ‘The Economist’ conference in Athens, which was addressed by Greece’s Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Greek Minister of Interior Makis Voridis, Minister of Tourism Haris Theoharis, Former European Parliament President Martin Schulz, Former Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, Former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin, United States Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt, as well as a number of diplomats and business people are also attending the gala dinner, the Government said in a press release. PM Zaev is set to take part on Friday at a panel discussion as part of the “25th Roundtable with the Government of Greece”, organized by “The Economist”, themed “From Social Distancing to Social Solidarity.” In addition, North Macedonia and Greece will sign on Friday the agreement over the natural gas interconnection between the two countries. Meeting will be held focusing on economy and energy. At “The Economist” conference in Athens, PM Zaev is accompanied by Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi and Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi. Economic cooperation between the two countries is strengthening and intensifying after the signing of the Prespa Agreement.
