Skopje, 6 June 2022 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi met on Monday with the newly appointed Ambassador of Kosovo to North Macedonia, Florian Qehaja. Extending congratulations on his appointment as ambassador, Xhaferi voiced assurance that fruitful cooperation with the Embassy of Kosovo will be further intensified. Speaker Xhaferi pointed out that the positive and constructive bilateral relations between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Kosovo have been marked by mutual support, respect and open dialogue, which have been promoted in successful and frequent inter-parliamentary cooperation, Parliament Speaker’s Office said in a press release. Xhaferi said that the Republic of North Macedonia supports the Republic of Kosovo’s membership in all multilateral and regional organizations and initiatives. Ambassador Qehaja expressed satisfaction with the successful cooperation between North Macedonia and Kosovo in many fields of mutual interest. He thanked for the continuous and principled support from North Macedonia to Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations and the readiness to transfer experiences in this regard. The interlocutors expressed hope that cooperation between the two neighboring countries will continue to be further promoted putting special emphasis on deepening economic cooperation, infrastructure connectivity and Euro-Atlantic integration, reads the press release.
