Skopje, 29 September 2023 (MIA) — Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi has submitted in Parliament a proposal for an updated parliamentary rulebook. The updates to the Rules of Procedure for the work of Parliament were a result of Jean Monnet Dialogue participants' dedicated work over many years, according to an official press release.

The proposed Rules of Procedure provisions will come into effect after the next Parliament is formed, the release says, noting that the rulebook was approved by the government coalition MPs and opposition MPs alike.

The proposal, the release adds, has already been submitted to lawmakers as hard copy and in electronic form.

Its first reading is being proposed as an agenda addition to the 127th plenary session scheduled for Oct. 3, 2023. mr/
