Gostivar, 9 November 2022 (MIA) – Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi said Wednesday the incorporation of other communities in the Constitution is not an issue for a vast majority of political parties. “The constitutional changes are not in the interest of the ruling majority or the opposition but a facility to realize the country’s second strategic goal after the NATO membership – EU accession,” Speaker Xhaferi told reporters in Gostivar. He urged on putting aside partisan interests, for a comprehensive process of constitutional revision. “Of course, the ruling majority cannot say that it currently has the required number of votes for the constitutional changes because this is not only in the interest of the ruling majority. Therefore, the process should be a comprehensive one, including all MP groups,” underlined Xhaferi.
