Skopje, 1 February 2023 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi, Vice-Speakers and party whips met Wednesday with European Union Ambassador David Geer, exchanging opinions on current developments in the institution.

Discussions focused on the parliamentary dialogue, activities on the EU agenda and pace of laws' adoption, the Parliament's involvement in the screening process and progress of the Jean Monnet Dialogue, as well as the constitutional changes, the Parliament said in a press release.  

Interlocutors assessed that trust building and proper cooperation among parties in the Parliament is not important solely for the successful realization of Euro-integration reforms but also for the sake of the country's political culture.

"It was agreed that such meetings are held regularly, with the objective of closely reviewing the country's progress on the EU path, reads the press release.
