Skopje, 22 September 2022 (MIA) - We should all be guardians of human rights and liberties, without exceptions, ensuring a free, equal and dignified life, as well as proper conditions for every individual in our community, said Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi on Thursday. Speaker Xhaferi told event “Role of Parliaments in Implementation of Agenda 2030” that an integrated approach, inclusive political processes, along with responsible, effective and accountable measures would lead to a more successful realization of Agenda 2030. “We, the MPs, have a unique position to be the link between citizens and state institutions, to promote and adopt policies and laws focusing on people, so that no one is neglected,” said Xhaferi. He added that “one society for all” should not only serve as an empty phrase but represent a way of how things are done, both where decisions are made and where they are implemented, provided “that each link in the chain of social responsibility, legal protection, judicial efficiency and transparency functions flawlessly.”
