Xhaferi: Could know on Monday when Government’s report on French proposal will be discussed
Skopje, 8 July 2022 (MIA) – At Monday’s coordination meeting in the Parliament, there will be talks about a possible date for a plenary session on the report regarding the contents of the draft-negotiating framework for North Macedonia’s EU accession talks, proposed by the French EU Presidency on June 30, 2022. Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi told MIA that this will be discussed at the coordination which will also be attended by the Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj. “On Monday we are to hold a coordination meeting which will also be attended by the government official and we will have a discussion. The material is in the Parliament, but the budget revision session is to begin on Monday,” said Xhaferi. According to him, the plenary session with the budget revision as the single item on the agenda is to last at most five days and is scheduled according to the deadlines and it must begin, however, if there is a need, it will be interrupted and a new session will be scheduled which would have the Government’s report on the agenda. Having in mind that the Parliament only received a report, and not the documents, i.e., the French Proposal, Xhaferi said that all documents are already available to the public and can be seen by everyone. The report about the contents of the draft-negotiating framework for North Macedonia’s EU accession talks, was forwarded by the Government to the Parliament on Thursday. In accordance with the procedures the material has been delivered to the MPs, but it doesn’t contain the French proposal and the accompanying documents. ad/nn/
