Skopje, 11 May 2023 (MIA) — The working group formed to draft constitutional changes is set to convene Thursday in the Government building at 2:30 pm. Following the session, chairwoman Margarita Caca Nikolovska is expect to speak to the press.
The working group held its previous session Tuesday to determine its rules of procedure and methodology. Nikolovska said they would continue the discussion on those topics at their session Thursday.
"You are likely to see our solutions tomorrow or the day after," Nikolovska said Tuesday, adding that the public would also be given access to previous documents and conclusions of the Government and Parliament related to EU recommendations, all pointing to the need for constitutional changes.
She said the working group had not been given a set deadline but they would actively work on the initiative.
The working group consists of 23 members, ten of whom are experts, ten were nominated by political parties and three represent institutions – the President’s Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Secretariat for European Affairs. mr/
