Working Committee for European Integration holds constitutive session
Skopje, 28 October 2022 (MIA) — The Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs and North Macedonia’s chief negotiator with the EU, Bojan Marichikj, said on his Faceook profile that the Working Committee for European Integration held its constitutive session on Friday.
The committee had been part of the coordination mechanism of North Macedonia with the European Union for more than two decades, but now had additional responsibilities given the country has started the accession negotiations with the European Union, Marichikj wrote.
He highlighted the importance of the bilateral screening process and the thorough preparation of the Macedonian delegations ahead of their meetings.
“This is what will be evaluated by the European Commission in its reports on the bilateral screenings and result in recommendations defining the criteria for opening the clusters. May our work be successful,” the Europe minister wrote. mr/
