Skopje, 10 January 2023 (MIA) — Winter break has been extended by five days and will end on Jan. 23, when all students are expected to attend in-person classes, according to a government press release.

The government decided to push the Jan. 18 back-to-school date to Jan. 23 after adopting a Ministry of Education and Science proposal at a session earlier on Tuesday.

The Ministry had proposed a longer winter break so schools could “save on heating and protect the health of students,” according to the release. mr/
