Skopje, 13 January 2025 (MIA) - Slushy snow roads are reported nationwide amid winter conditions with moderate traffic outside urban areas. Snowfall is reported across the country this morning, AMSM states.

As Makedonijapat road crews clear snow from highways, traffic ban for trucks are in place on several routes nationwide: Gostivar–Mavrovo–Debar, Gostivar–Strazha–Kichevo as well as at the Preseka mountain pass and Pletvar, Gjavato, Struga - Kjafasan, Tetovo - Popova Shapka and Strumica - Berovo.

No border delays are reported. As of Nov. 15, 2024, winter equipment in vehicles is mandatory until Mar. 15, 2025.

Landslides are possible along the routes of Katlanovo – Veles, Mavrovo – Debar – Struga, Vinica – Berovo and Kochani – Delchevo.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully, adjust their speed to weather conditions and follow traffic rules, signs and signals.
