Skopje, 30 August 2023 (MIA) — A public forum titled "EU for the Macedonian Economy" will launch the “We Are Europe” campaign organized by the Secretariat for European Affairs as part of the government's efforts to meet the country's strategic goal of joining the European Union.

Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski is set to give the opening address at Wednesday's open-air event.

Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj and Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi will participate, together with the Spanish Ambassador to the country José Luis Lozano García, civil society representatives, and business community members.

As part of the Mden five-million campaign, public forums will be organized in eight cities. They will cover multiple topics such as labor and social policy in Strumica, agriculture in Prilep, culture in Bitola, tourism and environment in Ohrid, youth in Tetovo, infrastructure in Shtip, and energy in Kumanovo.

Campaign activities will also include visits and meetings with target groups interested in learning more about the topics discussed and the accession process in general. ad/mr
