Skopje, 16 June 2024 (MIA) - The VMRO-DPMNE executive and central committees are set to confirm Sunday the candidates for ministers nominated by the "Your Macedonia" coalition, led by PM-designate Hristijan Mickoski.

Mickoski announced earlier this week that the official list of candidates will be submitted to the Parliament on June 18.

The government will include representatives of the "Your Macedonia" and "Worth It" coalitions, and ZNAM party.

The number of ministries is increased from 16 to 20 following the adoption of the law on reorganization of the state administration bodies. The new ministries are the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Minerals, Ministry of Sport, Ministry of Digital Transformation and Ministry of European Affairs.

The new government should be formed prior to the expiry of the 20-day deadline that began on June 6, when President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova handed over the mandate to VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski.
