VMRO-DPMNE leader Mickoski believes Iotova's Bitola visit is not a provocation
Bitola, 4 November 2022 (MIA) - Bulgaria Vice President Iliana Iotova's visit to Bitola today is welcome if her intentions are good. I wouldn't want to believe it is a provocation, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said Friday. "Macedonia is a free and hospitable country. Everyone with good intentions is welcome. If the visit only serves as political provocation, then it must be condemned by the authorities, by the citizens of Bitola and all political and social stakeholders. I'm confident that the visit is private and well-intentioned so as not to provoke a scandal," Mickoski said during his visit to Bitola on its liberation day when asked to comment on Iotova's visit. Her trip to Bitola is of private character on the day that marks the city's liberation. Bitola police said earlier that it will take special measures on Friday and Saturday to regulate the traffic in Bitola and the surrounding area during today's visit by the Bulgarian Vice President and the visit to the city on Saturday by President Stevo Pendarovski and Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski to mark the anniversary of the coal-fired power plant REK Bitola.
