Vaccination against seasonal flu begins this week

Skopje, 23 October 2023 (MIA) - The Ministry of Health said that vaccination against seasonal influenza (flu) begins this week, adding that 60,000 doses of quadrivalent vaccines against seasonal flu intended for free vaccination have arrived in the country. 

 

According to the Health Ministry, citizens from at-risk groups who have signed up for vaccination via the website vakcinacija.mk, will receive a text message in the coming days about the exact date, time and place of vaccination. 

 

Free vaccination against seasonal flu is intended for the following at-risk groups: seniors (over 65 years old), people with chronic diseases, health workers, pregnant women, children aged six months to five years. 

 

"Vaccination against seasonal flu is the most effective measure for the prevention of influenza, which prevents the occurrence of more severe forms, complications and death, especially among at-risk groups," says the Health Ministry, adding that citizens who belong to at-risk groups can sign up for vaccination by filling out the application available at: https://vakcinacija.mk/mk/registration-flu?fbclid=IwAR06BSDGCR0NaKR8bJrWJ-mw1sDpmHFpJ5mOPTmZPSqzyiG8CNDddsSMmeM
