Up to €300 million necessary for uninterrupted electricity supply plan
Skopje, 6 September 2022 (MIA) – Up to 300 million euros in the next two quarters will be necessary for the implementation of the Government’s plan for uninterrupted electricity supply, said Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski on Tuesday.
Answering a journalist’s question, Kovachevski stated that the calculations have been made and a part of the funds have already been secured.
“We will certainly need funds up to 300 million euros in the next two quarters in order to secure electricity at a subsidized price for the citizens and small consumers. We have already talked to Bulgaria about securing the baseload power necessary for businesses,” said Kovachevski.
According to the plan supported by the Security Council, the country will secure all resources to maximize the domestic production of energy, in order to ensure that, during the most difficult period, beginning October 1 and lasting through to the beginning of summer, all citizens and small and medium-sized businesses receive the lowest possible electricity price, as well as heating, without any restrictions. ad/ba/
