Unions call for 'We, the Workers' protest rally on May 1

Skopje, 25 April 2024 (MIA) — The SSM Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia and the KSOM Confederation of Trade Union Organizations of Macedonia have called on all workers to join them in marching in the streets demanding fair pay and better working conditions during a protest rally on May 1, International Workers' Day.
The protest, to be held under the slogan "We, the Workers," will begin at 11 am in front of the workers union premises, a press release from the SSM said.
"SSM and KSOM heard the workers' requests to unite our unions and, this year, we are organizing the International Workers' Day protest rally on May 1 together," the release said.
The decision was made at a meeting between SSM leader Slobodan Trendafilov and SSM council secretary Zlatko Cvetkovski with KSOM leader Marjan Risteski and KSOM general secretary Goce Delchev Todev. mr/
