Unemployment in 2023 at 13.1 percent: statistics

  • In 2023, the labour force in the Republic of North Macedonia numbered 1,515,107 persons, of whom 688,296 were employed, while 103,351 were unemployed persons, said the State Statistical Office on Thursday.

Skopje, 21 March 2024 (MIA) - In 2023, the labour force in the Republic of North Macedonia numbered 1,515,107 persons, of whom 688,296 were employed, while 103,351 were unemployed persons, said the State Statistical Office on Thursday.

According to the State Statistical Office, the activity rate in this period was 52.3 percent, the employment rate was 45.4 percent, while the unemployment rate was 13.1 percent.
