Rome, 16 July 2023 (dpa/MIA) - A three-storey residential building collapsed on Sunday in the coastal town of Torre del Greco near Naples in Italy.

According to the fire brigade, at least two people were rescued alive from the rubble and given medical treatment.

As the house was inhabited, more people are suspected to be trapped under the rubble, Italian media reported.

Police and firefighters are at the scene to search for more people.

Dog units were also deployed to help with the search, the fire brigade added.

Torre del Greco is located some 15 kilometres south of Naples.
