Skopje, 1 April 2024 (MIA) – The Skopje Police received a report Monday that a male individual with an assault rifle shot at the Mayor of the Municipality of Arachinovo, Ridvan Ibraimi, while he was accompanied by several other individuals. Two people who accompanied the Mayor were injured in the shooting, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release.

The Ministry said the Mayor was not injured in the incident. Activities are being taken to clear up the case, it said.

Earlier, Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski told MIA that the Mayor’s driver was injured in the shooting, and a Municipality employee was also shot at.
