Skopje, 4 January 2023 (MIA) – Top officials of the Turkish company AKSA visited Power Plants of North Macedonia (ESM) on Wednesday, expressing interest in investing in the country’s energy sector.

“The ESM management briefed the AKSA officials on the current investments, i.e., the construction of renewable energy source plants, photovoltaics and windmill farms above all, as well as plans for new renewable source capacities that will be placed on the exhausted coal deposits in REK Bitola, following the example of implemented projects in REK Oslomej and other places within the current ESM production capacities,” ESM said.

AKSA is the biggest independent energy producer in Turkey, through plants powered by various sources, including coal, natural gas, mazut and hydro plants. dk/nn/
