TUI Airways to launch Manchester – Ohrid flights
Skopje, 24 August 2022 (MIA) – British air carrier TUI Airways is set to launch seasonal flights from Manchester to Ohrid next summer. According to the company’s flight schedule, the flights from Manchester to Ohrid will run from May 31 to September 20. The air carrier will operate flights on the route once a week. In 2022 both airports in the country have seen an increase in the number of seasonal flights compared to 2021. The Skopje International Airport registered 457 seasonal flights from January to July, 55 percent more than in 2021, when this figure stood at 294 flights. On the other hand, The Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport registered 831 seasonal flights, which is a 136 percent increase compared to the same period in 2021, when there were 352 seasonal flights. The Skopje Airport offers seasonal flights to Antalya, Bodrum, Izmir, Hurghada, Basel, Jeddah/Medina, Monastir (Tunisia), while in 2021 there were seasonal flights from Skopje to Antalya, Bodrum, Hurghada, Basel and Dusseldorf. At the Ohrid Airport in 2022, there are seasonal flights to Tel Aviv and Amsterdam, as well as Zurich, Eindhoven and Katowice, which were also available during the 2021 summer season. In the first seven months of 2022, both Macedonian airports registered a total of 1.3 million passengers and 10.622 flights. ad/nn/
