Skopje, 17 December 2023 (MIA) - The ban on heavy vehicles along the Mavrovo-Mavrovi Anovi road has been lifted as of 8:30 am today, the Auto-Moto Association of Macedonia (AMSM) said on Sunday.
The ban on heavy vehicles on the Berovo-Strumica road remains in force since Saturday evening due to the heavy snowfall and trees fallen down along the road. "Makedonija Pat" public enterprise staff have been working to clear the fallen trees on Saturday.
Wet roads and winter traffic conditions are reported nationwide with moderate intensity outside urban areas and no delays at border crossings, said AMSM.
As of Nov. 15, 2023, winter equipment in vehicles is mandatory until Mar. 15, 2024, regardless of the weather.
Landslides are possible along the routes of Katlanovo – Veles, Mavrovo – Debar – Struga, Vinica – Berovo and Kochani – Delchevo.
