Skopje, 9 January 2024 (MIA) – The government approved Tuesday information from the Ministry of Defence regarding the entry and stay of foreign armed forces on the country's territory for the participation in the training and exercise 'Trojan Footprint 24,' scheduled to take place from January 16 to March 16.

“40 members of the special forces of the United States Armed Forces and 12 members of the special forces of the Republic of Greece will take part, equipped with weaponry, equipment, motor vehicles, and material-technical resources. The special forces of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia will play an active role in the preparations and execution of the joint training and exercise, involving 55 members (participants in the activity and actual logistics),” the government said in a press release.

The exercise is scheduled to take place at the Krivolak Training Area, training grounds, and shooting ranges in the Skopje garrison, as well as the Kraste shooting range in the Shtip garrison.

The upcoming 'Trojan Footprint 24' training and exercise are key components of North Macedonia's strategic plan for international exercises spanning 2024 and 2025, in line with the requirements for actively planning, organizing, preparing, and conducting joint training and exercises with NATO allies.
