Skopje, 26 October 2023 (MIA) — Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jovanka Trenchevska is on a working visit to Izmir, Turkey, leading a delegation including Deputy Minister of Culture Daim Luchi and Chashka Mayor Goran Stojanovski.

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy in a press release, Minister Trenchevska, at the invitation of the Karşıyaka Mayor Cemil Tugay, Turgutlu Mayor Çetin Akın, and the Macedonian Immigrants Culture and Solidarity Association president Kadri Altınkalp, will attend the Macedonian folklore festival Karşıyaka - Chaska - Turgutlu 2023, organized in cooperation with the Municipality of Chashka.

Trenchevska, in addition to attending the folklore festival, will also hold separate meetings with Karşıyaka Mayor Tugay, Turgutlu Mayor Akın, and representatives of the Macedonian associations from Izmir, Manisa, and Turgutlu.

Apart from the Municipality of Chashka, the local governments of Kriva Palanka, Gradsko and Rosoman are also sending their local folk and dance ensembles to perform at the festival. mr/
