- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski will help introduce six new flights to and from the Skopje and Ohrid airports by the end of 2024, he said in a Kanal 5 TV appearance on Thursday evening.
Skopje, 13 December 2024 (MIA) — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski will help introduce six new flights to and from the Skopje and Ohrid airports by the end of 2024, he said in a Kanal 5 TV appearance on Thursday evening.
The Ministry of Transport he is at the helm of, he said, had already introduced four new flights from Skopje and two new flights from Ohrid this year.
"We will announce another six new ones by the end of the year," Minister Nikoloski told Kanal 5's "Only Interview" show.
"We will have new destinations," he said. By the end of the year, we will announce six new flights that will operate from the Skopje and Ohrid airports."
"When I took up my ministerial post, I saw that our number of passengers was decreasing amid rising competition from airports in the region.
"By nature, I have a competitive spirit so this gave me great motivation to change things and now things are changing," the transport minister said.
"We will have new destinations and I encourage my Bulgarian, Albanian, Serbian colleagues to compete with me. I think I will bring in the most airlines," he said. mr/
